Chase Industries, Inc., founded by Chase Blum in 1932, pioneered the original flexible AirGard Door with its unique top-mounted-only gravity hinging system. Chase was acquired in 1999.

Durus Industries was founded in Bend, Oregon in 1973 by Larry Zettle and Jim Brown. Durus Industries manufactured the world’s first rotationally molded cross-linked polyethylene door and was acquired in 1986. Durlite became a Chase branded product in 1991.

Since 1899 Saino has been the recognized leader in the sliding fire door industry. In 1905, Saino invented the world’s first corrugated steel fire door. More than a century later, Saino is still producing the best performing fire doors available. Saino was acquired in 1993.

Founded by Lon McCarty in Portland, Oregon, Econo Max Manufacturing is one of only three companies in the United States to extrude clear vinyl strip material used in the fabrication of strip doors. Econo Max was acquired in 1997, and became a Chase branded product in 1998.

ColdGuard originated from Staples and Stevens in 1977 in Tampa, Florida. they had a 16,000 sq/ ft/ facility that was dedicated to manufacturing cooler and freezer doors. Since being acquired in 2007, the square footage has more than doubled in size for ColdGuard.

David Eliason, the son of founder, Carl Eliason, created the Easy Swing hinge in the early 1960’s. The Easy Swing hinge is one of the most popular hinges on the market today and is what gave Eliason the reputation of unsurpassed quality and dependability. Eliason was acquired in 2012.

Thermoseal Glass Corporation was founded in 1956 by Ira Fine, and his brother-in-law, Irving. In 1975, Irv Newman received the company’s first patent for an electrically-energized glass panel and circuit breaker combination. Thermoseal was acquired in 2015.
